A surplus Denver Mint coin press is used in the over-striking process.
Small head style ("LIBERTY" far from rim) of 2000 to present.
The first year that Roosevelt Dimes were originally minted was 1946. No copper-nickel clad Roosevelt Dimes were produced prior to 1965. No Roosevelt Dimes had an obverse mint mark prior to 1968. No Roosevelt Dimes had a "P" mint mark prior to 1980.
NOTE: Defacing of US coins is legal so long as the defacement isn't for fraudulent purposes.
