A surplus Denver Mint coin press is used in the over-striking process.
Over-struck on Native-Head copper-nickel cents of 1859 (no-shield type).

No Native-Head cents were produced prior to 1858.

To the naked eye my coin looks to me to be a flawless over-strike worth every penny!
