High relief, nice surfaces

If only the US mint did as well in the artwork and overall creation of coins made for the collector as Daniel Carr does, there would be a lot more collectors.
This 2009 20 Trade Dollar piece has a well balanced reverse that says it all like a coin should. The finish is mostly satin with the exception of the eagle, which is a shade more on the brilliant proof side. At least on my example. Its a great effect giving an allusion of separation.
The obverse is nicely sculpted and well detailed. The satin finish is even and unbroken which places each fine detail in the correct perspective for a pleasing 3D view when rotated.
